One simple
change.....IF you do one thing this month...Try a new veggie.
Research shows that this easy switch can do wonders for your health.
Devouring a bag of baby carrots every afternoon is hardly a diet don't, but
mixing things up a bit can stave off heart disease and cancer and may even
slow down the aging process.
In fact, eating five servings of a variety of vegetables each day
may be better for you than eating larger quantities of just a few, according
to a recent study at Colorado State University, "Different plants contain
different phytochemicals and other nutrients," says Henry J. Thompson,
Ph.D., director of the Cancer Prevention Laboratory at CSU. "Your body
needs a range of them to protect its cells from damage."
