Understanding Cholesterol

Diet fads come and go, but one dietary threat we
seem stuck with is the danger of high cholesterol.
Most of us have known friends or relatives who
adhere to a diet designed to lower cholesterol or
those who take cholesterol-lowering prescription
drugs. In fact, we're so used to thinking of
cholesterol as a threat to good health that many of
us have forgotten our bodies have a use for it.
