Volunteers are welcome and needed at
St. Bernard School to help provide the many
programs, services and activities that we offer to
our students and to assist in running school
efficiently. Many opportunities are available for
willing volunteers. To get involved, please contact
the school office or the Parents' Club.
All volunteers, including field trip
chaperones, are required by the
Archdiocese of Cincinnati to meet the requirements
of the Child Protection Decree. (See below.)
Visitors must sign in at the School Office and pick
up a visitor badge.
The purpose of the Archdiocesan
Child Protection Decree is to prevent the abuse of
children and to provide a pastoral response if
incidents of abuse occur. The Decree requires
employees and volunteers who have contact with
school children to attend a Child Protection
Workshop and to have a criminal background check.
(be fingerprinted.) FBI check if they have not been
an Ohio resident for the last five years.
The Child Protection Decree is
offered at St. Bernard when needed. To find
other sites, go to the website -
